Every time you tune to a channel, a copy is
made of what you are watching. We call this a channel buffer.
This allows you to pause and rewind Live TV. Even if you rewind
into the past, at any point in the program you can press the
RECORD button to record the entire program (no need to
rewind to the beginning of the program before you press RECORD).
How cool is that?
- Every time you change the channel, the channel buffer is erased,
and a new buffer is started for the channel you are now watching.
That's why you can't rewind right away after changing channels.
- You can only turn on Picture-in-Picture (PIP) when watching
full screen TV. The reduced TV screens shown above are not examples
of PIP. PIP is a small TV channel displayed inside another full
screen TV channel. In the above reduced TV screen examples, you
must press the EXIT remote button to display the full TV screen
mode before you can turn on PIP.
Pressing the RECORD button will record:
1. The program you are watching either in full screen TV or in
the reduced screen (like in the 2 screens above).
2. The program you have highlighted in the Program Guide.
NOTE: To record the PIP screen video, you must swap it into the
Main screen first.
- You can change TV channels if you are recording one show, but
if you try to change channels when recording two shows at the
same time, a conflict message will be displayed. The conflict
will give the available options: stop recording either program
to change the channel.
| Display options to:
1. Change Start and Stop times
2. Record Single OR All Episodes
3. Change Save Time for single episode OR Number of Episodes
