The Town of Shrewsbury operates Mountan View Cemetery under the jurisdiction of the Parks and Cemetery Commissioners. The Cemetery provides burial space for residents of the Town of Shrewsbury.

The cemetery staff consists of one foreman who works for the parks & cemetery department and one cemetery laborer who works March 1st to November 30th.

Mountain View Cemetery is located on Boylston Street (Route 140).

The office & garage are located behind the parking lots of the Fire Department and the First Congregational Church.

Please note the cemetery office is open by appointment only. Please contact the town hall office at (508) 841 8503 to make an appointment or for information.

Requests for family history/genealogy should be made in writing and submitted to the town hall office. Requests that require more than 10 minutes of research time will be charged an hourly fee for researching information.

About the tour:
Join us on this guided walking tour where you will meet a
few of our early townspeople, some better known than others, who once lived here.
A completely new set of town notables and characters will be re-enacted and highlighted.
