Artemas
Ward Homestead - The Ward homestead
in Shrewsbury is nearly 300 years old. Harvard
University was given the property and a $5 million
bequest in 1925 to maintain the house and grounds
as a 'public patriotic museum.' From April to
November, the General Artemas Ward Homestead is
open, free of charge, as a tourist attraction.

Shrewsbury
Historical Society - Discover Shrewsbury's
rich history at the Shrewsbury Historical Society.
Opened in 2001, the Shrewsbury Historical Society

Constitution - "Old Ironsides"
Made from approximately 2,000 trees (with specialty
woods obtained from Maine to Georgia), armed with
cannons cast in Rhode Island, and fitted with copper
fastenings provided by the famous Boston smith Paul
Revere, the vessel is truly a "national"
ship. Launched on October 21, 1797, the it is the
oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world.
