The Board of Selectmen are comprised of the following elected members from left to right: James F. Kane, Benjamin W. Tartaglia, Moira Miller, Maurice M. DePalo, and John I. Lebeaux. Their terms are as follows:

Chapter 559 of the Acts of 1953 which is better known as the Town Manager Act and the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. These and additional duties include:
- appointing and overseeing the work of the Town Manager
- reviewing and issuing licenses to do business in the Town of Shrewsbury: alcohol, restaurant, new/used car dealership and garage and other miscellaneous licenses

reviewing annual department budgets

discussing, proposing, and voting on Proposition 2 1/2 decisions

issuing requests for Interest in Chapter 40B proposals

As stewards of the community, selectmen often form subcommittees to address certain issues. The following subcommittees are currently in place:
