Health
The Health Department is run by the Board of Health whose primary concerns are activities related to health and the environment: - smoking and exposure to environmental tobacco smoke
- collection and disposal of solid waste
- operation of the ash residue landfill
- recycling
- handling of leaves, grass and yard waste
- sewage disposal
- food service sanitation
- housing
- hazardous materials, especially mercury
- illegal dumping
