FY 2008 Budget Information

Fiscal Year 2008 Report and Warrant

For the first time the annual Finance Committee report is available on line. This report made to the Town Meeting is the basis of action for the May 21st Annual Town Meeting.

Town Manager Files Revised Revenue and Charge Estimate

On March 14 the town manager filed with the Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee his revised revenue and charge estimate based upon the most recent information. This estimate will be the basis of action to be taken by the Board relative to the FY 2008 budget including the placing of an override question onto the May 1st Annual Town Election Warrant

Town Manager Files FY2008 Budget

On January 26th, the town manager filed his budget for Fiscal Year 2008. The Finance Committee will commence hearings on the proposed budget on February 3rd at 9:00 AM and continue on February 10th also at 9:00 AM. Copies of the budget are available for public inspection if the Offices of the Board of Selectmen, Town Clerk and the Town Library during normal business hours. The budget message an initial budget exhibits can be viewed as follows.

Finance Committee Sets Budget Hearing Schedule

The Finance Committee will commence its budget review process for the Fiscal Year 2008 Budget with its two annual Saturday day long budget hearings commencing at 9:00 AM on Saturday, February 3rd and February 10th. The hearings will be broadcast live on both days on Channel 30 and the hearings are open to the public.

Town Manager Files FY2008 Capital Budget

Today the town manager filed with the Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee the Capital Budget for the period of FY 2008 to 2012. The filing of the budget is the first step towards the establishment of the FY 2008 spending program for the Town that will be presented at the May 2007 Annual Town Meeting. The full text of the Capital Budget may be viewed in the Offices of the Town Clerk and Town Manager during normal business hours. In addition, a copy will be on file in the Town Library.

Annual Financial Workshop

 

On Monday November 27, 2006 the Board of Selectmen held its annual financial workshop. Each year this workshop held each November commences the budget preparation season that cumulates with the Annual Town Meeting in May. At this workshop the Board reviews the full range of financial issues facing the community as all parties begin to focus on the FY 2008 budget. Town Manager Daniel J. Morgado provided to the board a summary is materials to serve as the basis of discussion.
