KID’S EQUIPMENT DAY 2008

The 7th Annual Kid’s Equipment Day will be held on Saturday May 17th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Town of Shrewsbury’s Municipal Highway Garage. The display and open house is part of National Public Works week celebrating “Public Works…The Future is Now”. The event is sponsored by the staff from the Parks, Highway, and Water & Sewer Departments and gives children of all ages the chance to see the town’s big trucks, lawn equipment, sand plows and more up close. Also, learn about water conservation and meet Mr. Raindrop!

The event is held rain or shine. Free replica hard hats will be handed out to the first 100 children who attend. “Vintage” Kid’s Equipment day t-shirts will be available for sale for $5.00 each. Paw Print newsletters from American Public Works Association will be given out.
