| RUOK Program |
| RUOK, which stands for "Are you OK," is
a telephone reassurance program run through the Shrewsbury Police
Department. After filling out a simple form at the dispatch office,
a phone call is made every day by a computer at a designated time.
If the caller does not respond, the police will investigate to make
sure that the person is OK. This can be a lifesaving program for someone
who does not have daily contact with others. Forms are available at
the police station. Seniors can also request an officer to deliver
