F. Study and improve the district's assessment strategies, data collection and standardized testing program by:

  1. Evaluating and improving the district's data collection in the areas of student achievement and program accountability.
  2. Implementing professional development activities related to assessment practices.
  3. Analyzing standardized test scores.
  4. Responding to the recommendations of the SAT Committee.
  5. Developing curriculum activities to assist students to improve their performance on standardized tests.

  • Creation of a data base containing assessment information that can be utilized for multiple purposes, i.e., analysis and program evaluation, tracking individual students.
  • Improvements to assessment practices, K-12.

  • An improvement of student performance on SATs, Advanced Placement Exams, Metropolitian Achievement Test, and Massachusetts Comprehensive Achievement System exam.
  • The establishment of targeted activities and curriculum revisions focused on improvement.

G. Expand the School to Career Program by:

  1. Increasing partnerships with businesses;
  2. Expanding opportunities for student and faculty internships;
  3. Holding a career fair for HS students;
  4. Developing applied curriculum in selected academic disciplines;
  5. Increasing communications to parents, students, and staff
