Chin Colle

These images were printed using the same plate as the black and white version but with a process called chin colle. A piece of rice paper in each color was cut out to fit the shape of the buddha. Glue was brushed onto the back of the rice paper and the plate was inked. The plate, the rice paper, and the printmaking paper went through the press at the same time, both glueing the rice paper and printing the ink all at once.
