2004-2005 Sales:

Our business Insta-Calc was initiated when members of Entrepreneurs Club bought and resold used TI-83 + calculators for a reasonable profit. We purchased fourteen calculators from e-Bay by sifting through opportunistic deals. We also put up flyers to buy used calculators from the senior class of 2005. Five seniors sold us their TI-83 + calculators for forty dollars. Additionally, Mr. Largess, administrator of Shrewsbury High School, donated seven confiscated calculators to the Entrepreneurs Class. In the beginning of the 2005 fiscal year, Insta-Calc attended the Freshman Orientation and was able to advertise to the guardians of the freshmen the lower and more advantageous costs. Since the retail price of a new TI-83 + calculator is $90 or more, and is required by Shrewsbury High School's math department, many freshmen and their parents/guardians were attracted to our deal. Overall, our 2004-2005 sales was a remarkable success and we saw a high demand for graphing calculators. Next year, our goal is to expand our business by purchasing more calculators to sell and make a greater profit. The Entrepreneurs Club is pleased to help the students of Shrewsbury High School while learning about business and entrepreneurship.
