"Hey Billy, look at that strange greenish light coming from the water."
"Isn't that a cookie-cutter shark?"
"Yes, I think it is."
"Yes, Billy you are correct, it is a cookie-cutter shark. Billy, did you know that the light coming from its stomach is really to attract its prey? It can also go as deep as 1000 meters in the night, and can come up to the surface at night. Well, there probably is a lot of things you don't know about the cookie-cutter shark, so I will tell you."
"This shark eats crustaceans, squid, large bony fish, cetaceans, and even large sharks. The cookie-cutter shark is only 20 inches long, so can you believe that it can eat fish a lot bigger than it? Can you imagine it coming out of the water to catch crabs and bite off children's toes? Well, you shouldn't because it is not true."
"Okay, okay, okay, I know what you are thinking, that the cookie-cutter shark is dangerous to humans, but unless you want to go swimming in the middle of the night, the cookie-cutter will not attack you. But it can jump on cruise boats. Have you ever wondered how the titanic really sunk?"
"It hit an iceberg, doesn't everyone know that?"
"Billy, if you believed that, you are really gullible. It can't jump on cruise boats or sink the titanic, it can just stay in the water, unless of course it gets abducted by aliens, but that isn't very likely."
"The cookie-cutter is a brownish color, and fluorescent GREEN. I'm pulling your leg, actually I'm ripping it off. It is just plain brown, it's kind of dull, but it is another thing in life you have to live with. The cookie-cutter shark also has gray in its color. Do you think that this shark is boring? It isn't, it is actually very interesting."
"The cookie-cutter shark's scientific name is Isistuis Brasillensis. Really long isn't it? Well, if you have trouble remembering the name contact your local ichthyologist and complain. That's all there is to it. The cookie-cutter shark waits for a bigger fish (usually a shark) to attack it, and then it attacks the attacker.
"Well, do you think you know a lot about the cookie-cutter shark? I think you do."
