A Unit for Students in Grades 3-7 |
This social studies unit for students in grades 3-7 focuses on the changing role of women in the 1830's and 1840's. It has two components: teacher guided lesson plans and a student web-guided exploration. Teachers may decide to use any or all of the activities in the lesson plan. The web-guided exploration must be used in conjunction with the lesson plan, but the lesson plans may be used independent of the web-guided exploration.
This project was done in conjunction with the course, Forging an American Nation U.S. History 1789-1877 presented by Primary Source, Watertown, MA with grant funding from the Massachusetts Department of Education, and the Hudson and Westboro School districts.
