  • Uses relevant examples from the readings.
  • The response is well-organized, has richly developed ideas that are clearly expressed.
  • Student demonstrates understanding of sentence structure, grammar, usage and mechanics.

demonstrates a solid understanding of the subject matter, and completes the task with a great degree of success.

  • Includes information which addresses most of the guiding questions (These include topics such as life on the farm, living in a boardinghouse, mill conditions, leisure activities, and future opportunities.)
  • Uses relevant examples from the readings.
  • The response is well-organized with logically developed ideas.
