If you would like to get channel time
for your program, whether it is one you produced or one you want
to sponsor, the following program guidelines must be adhered to:
If you are a Shrewsbury resident, employee of the Town of Shrewsbury,
or a person who is a member of, or affiliated with a Shrewsbury-based
501c3 organization, you are qualified to become a SMC member. Orientation
to SMC and signing Agreement with SMC Policies and Guidelines allow
you to use all SMC facilities and services including classes, equipment,
and channel time on a non-discriminatory, first-come, first-serve
basis. All persons under 18 must have parent/guardian signature
on all SMC forms to use SMC equipment, facilities, channel time
or participate in classes.
Producers must be familiar with and are fully responsible for the
content of their program material. SMC is content neutral and does
NOT preview programs.
Programming may be pre-produced by you, sponsored by you if produced
by someone else, downlinked from available satellite resources,
or produced by you with SMC's studio or portable equipment. Shrewsbury
produced in-house programs take precedence as being SMC's top priority
in scheduling, one prime-time and one alternate may be requested
by SMC member.
Programming may not contain any commercial advertising; any material
which constitutes libel, slander, pornography, obscenity, invasion
of privacy or publicity rights; any unauthorized use of copyrighted
material; any works in violation of FCC regulations, local, state
or federal laws.
